Welcome back after a wonderful winter break! We are jumping right back into things here, so be prepared!

College English A

We began reading The Road by Cormac McCarthy today. In preparation we discussed our perspective on many different situations that come up in this book, from whether or not we think it is important to use complete sentences to whether we could see ourselves eating people. That assignment is here.

We also discussed the criteria for a post-apocalyptic story-line and listed movies/books/television shows  that matched up (The Book of Eli, I am Legend, World-War Z, etc…).

For homework you need to read to page 20.

After this was complete, we reviewed Critical Race Theory and Social Class Theory using a text called “You Act White” by Savanna Odem. This text is not available online so be sure to see me about it if you were absent.
